Who runs the site?
Barrow & Fall is a family-and-friends project. We’re serial renovators who got tired of spending £100+ on paint tins and built a spreadsheet to track cheaper colour matches for our own homes. The list worked so well that we turned it into the site you see today.
Why we’re qualified to talk about colour
- We gather dupes from decorator forums, manufacturer fan decks, and trusted community recommendations, keeping only the options that consistently earn praise.
- Whenever we renovate, we add first-hand notes about undertones, sheen, and coverage so recommendations stay grounded in reality.
- We try our best to track availability, pricing, and finish options in both the UK and US so you know which tins exist in which market.
Editorial stance & independence
Brands cannot buy placement on Barrow & Fall. If a colour does not meet our accuracy threshold it is removed, even if it carries an affiliate program. We disclose when links are monetised, and our testing process is the same for every shade regardless of commission.
How we make money
Some outbound links use affiliate tracking (for example Amazon or Dulux). Clicking those links costs you nothing but may pay us a small commission that funds new colour comparisons, photography, and hosting. Sponsored posts and paid placements are currently not offered.
